The
first gym leader which is brock is in pewtercity. His
specialty is rock and he has two pokemon. To get away with a
clean defeat use a Bulbasaur or Squirtle. If you dont have
them use a pikachu atleast at level 15 or 16. he will give you
the Boulder Badge. he also gives you TM34, which is Bide(it
isnt really good).
The
second gym leader is Misty, Her specialty is water type and
she has two pokemon also. Her pokemon are a level 18 Staryu
and a level 21 Starmie. Be sure to use your bulbasaur which
had already evolved into ivysaur. If you dont have a bulbasaur
use a pikachu, but NOT a squirtle. Once you defeat her she
gives you the cascade badge, and TM11 BubbleBeam(good TM).
The
third gym leader is Misty, His specialty is Electric Pokemon.
He has three pokemon which are a level 21 Voltorb, a level 18
Pikachu, and a level 21 Raichu. Do NOT use a Squirtle on them,
catch a Dugtrio in digletts cave and use it. Once you defeat
him he will give you the ThunderBadge, and TM24 which is
ThunderBolt(Good TM).
The
fourth gym leader is Erika, her specialty is Grass Pokemon. If
you started off with Charmander you should have a Charmeleon
by now, so you can use that. If you dont do NOT use squirtle
or bulbasaur. Use a Kadabra on her. Once you defeat her you
will get the RainBow Badge. You will also get TM 21 which is
Mega Drain(Good TM).
The
fifth gym leader is Sabrina, her specialty is Psychic Pokemon.
Any pokemon that is on level 45 or higher will do fine. Watch
out for confusion and psychic moves. She uses 4 pokemon, they
are Kadabra level 38, Mr.Mime level 37, Venomoth level 38, and
an Alakazam level 43. Once you defeat her you will get the
Marsh Badge. You will also get TM 46 which is PsyWave(Good
TM).
The
sixth gym leader is Koga, his specialty is Poison pokemon. He
is surrounded by invisible walls. Use Ground or Psychic type
on him. He has 4 pokemon which are level 37 Koffing, level 39
Muk, level 37 koffing, and a level 43 Weezing. Once you defeat
him you get the Soul Badge and TM 06 which is Toxic(OK TM).
The
seventh gym leader is Blaine, his specialty is Fire pokemon. I
suggest you take the quiz to save all your pokemon energy
unless you want to train them. Use a Water Pokemon to defeat
him. He has 4 pokemon which are a level 42 Growlithe, a level
40 Rapidash, a level 40 Ponyta, and a level 47 Arcanine. Once
you defeat him you will get the Volcano Badge and TM38 which
is FireBlast(GOOD TM).
The
eigth and final gym leader is Giovanni, his specialty is
ground. Be sure to use a flying pokemon. He has 5 pokemon
which are a level 45 Rhyhorn, a level 42 Dugtrio, a level 43
NidoQueen, a level 45 NidoKing, and a level 50 Rhydon. Once
you defeat him you will get the Earth Badge and TM 27 which is
Fissure(GOOD TM).
